Certified Toolbar Redirection Virus



Yesterday one of our Customer called up he was facing problem while changing his browsers home page, when he opened the Internet Explorer browser instead of his saved Home page, browser automatically opened ”Search.Certified-toobar.com” he called us and then we found it’s a Virus attack.

It took us lot of time to get rid of it, after solving the Issue I decided to create blog on it to save others time. Below article will help to get rid of it.  

What is the Certified Toolbar Redirection Virus?


The Certified toolbar is dangerous malware. The Certified Toolbar virus hijacks Internet browser settings, Including the browser home page, causing infected internet browser to direct to search.toolbar.com upon start up.  Certified toolbar is dangerous for many reasons such as Identity theft and fatal computer functionality.        

 A certified toolbar infection installs files directly on to computer system with or without consent and can be uninstalled using windows uninstaller. Once the certified toolbar removed from Windows the Certified toolbar infection leaves spare files on your computer which must be deleted.


Symptoms of Certified Toolbar?


·         The Certified toolbar virus affects Google Chrome, Mozilla Fire Fox and Microsoft Internet Explorer. 

·         The Certified toobar virus traces user’s Internet activity and distributes it.


·         The certified toolbar virus changes home page settings due to this Internet browser direct to Search.certified-toolbar.com. 

·          The sertified toolbar virus changes provide search engines (managed search engines) causing internet searches and URLs inputted into the internet browser address bar to re-direct to Search.certified-toolbar.com


How to remove the Certified Toolbar Virus?
Removing the Certified toolbar can be difficult, even if the Certified Toolbar was installed the infections may remain undetected. In order to properly remove Certified toolbar it is recommended to use the malware bytes free or paid version. To remove Certified Toolbar and associated malware using Malwarebytes, make sure the software is updated and run a full system scan.
